Valeh is a Certified member of Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals and is a Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner #1497.

During his education he was the recipient of a Certificate of Distinction from the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy in recognition of his outstanding performance while completing an extra 100 clinical hours above program requirements.

Valeh uses his background as a nurse and osteopath training to provide safe and effective treatments with non-invasive, manual therapy, similar to what is expected from a Chiropractor but less invasive, no cracking and with the interconnections of the body and fascia in mind.

Trained in holistic healthcare, Valeh approaches the body as a whole and not only concentrates on the problem area to improve overall health.

He understands the interconnectivity of the body through all of its systems and works towards whole-body wellness through manual therapeutic techniques.

What does he do as an osteopath?

Valeh aims to improve general health and well-being through manual treatment of the musculoskeletal framework.

Osteopathic treatments are based on thorough examination of root cause and understanding of the connections between muscles joints bones and their effect on any range of physical symptoms and organ systems throughout the body

Valeh is trained to treat specific concerns or work towards improving general well-being with the end goal being an optimally functioning body.

Based on your individual needs, he can target certain areas through various manual/hands on techniques to treat whole-body systems. Techniques include myofascial release, manipulation/mobilization of joints and muscles.  He is also trained to assess for what is the problem from his nursing and osteopathic training.

Valeh offers treatment of a vast variety of concerns including, but not limited to, arthritis, headaches, sciatica, as well as pain or stiffness due to injuries, postural problems, or pregnancy in clients of all ages and backgrounds.

Offers:

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Focuses on applying firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Useful for chronic aches, and contracted areas such as the upper and lower back, tight leg muscles, or a stiff neck. Also great for breaking up scar tissue and ‘knots’.

CUPPING

An alternative therapy originating in China, it involves placing upside-down ‘cups’ on the skin, creating a local suction. This can facilitate healing with blood flow, help loosen muscles and sedate the nervous system.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Used to treat sensitivity and tightness in the tissues that support and surrounds the muscles throughout the body. Utilizes sustained pressure into connective tissue in order to reduce pain and restore motion.
SWEDISH MASSGE

The most common, best known massage genre in the western world, serves as the backdrop for Chad’s treatments. Stimulates and flushes the circulatory system, releases tight muscles, relieves pain. Gentle or firm pressure, it’s always beneficial to relax! Typically performed with oil/lotion on the skin, but can be effectively modified for over clothing.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

An often self-treatable therapy, this remedial treatment is applied to specific points on tender muscles. It can bring a reduction in muscle tension, and local or referred pain relief. Chad works with you to reach these difficult areas and teach you how to self-treat.

INJURY REHABILITATION SUPPORT

The manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body can improve health and physical performance. Massage can relieve pain, stimulate circulation, and loosen bound-up tissues caused by injury or associated with trauma. It can free the body of spasm, pain, and cellular waste products, increase range of motion, and help prevent future injury.
